Chanthaburi2 Hi New here
Hi New here
Hi!New to this forum. Currently keeping a 3ft tank.
Tank mates consists of
2 RTC,
1 angelfish
1 gourami
10 thai cichlids (my rtc like to eat them)
Thinking of adding in aro to my tank.
But not much knowledge on them
Dont know how to tan them and turn them into a beauty,
Hence only can go lfs and drool.
Any shifu got good advice on aro?
Thanks.

You might want to remove RTC as they are notorious for eating tank mates.
Golden Crossbacks are very affordable now
Only Red Arowana requires much tanning.

Thanks for the advice.
My cichlids now left 6.
Was thinking of adding sliver aro first. Is there any difference between silver and those crossback?
In terms of taking care of them. Cause im afraid if get to expensive, no experience, will be a wasted fish in my hand.
Thanks.

Firstly welcome to AFT.
I would really suggest u do up some research before
You commit into any fishes..now aro are more affordable
Yet for me caring for them is just as good as caring for all fishes
The main thing is good water will take care of yr fishes
So take care of your water and the water will take care of your fishes for u
And filteration water changing regime is also important .
Feel free to drop by and have a look at the Aro section of AFT
and have a look at all the Aro keepers experience .
Good luck and hope to see your update on your Aro soon
Cheers !!
>Agrees with wat the bros mentioned here
Take care of water and fish observation everyday or at least alternate days without fail
Keeping fishes alive is easy, to make them flourish, its a hell lot of discipline and fish-instinct

Cheers !! Hi bro Rizzwan,
Did some research on them. I understand that silver aro does not need tanning.
But in terms of their needs, still not really sure. Cause currently my set up is a 3ft tank with a very basic ohf. Would like to try silver aro first. If everything goes well, managed to get a flat, by then will consider getting a red aro.
Hence wanna try out. But before committing myself, i will like to know more on their habitats.
Cherrs.

Trying to make my rtc show off the red tail is really difficult. Hahaha. Plus one is growing way faster compared to the other. But managed to train them via hand feeding. Hahahaha.
Cheers!
